Who is responsible
Huuman Life GmbH, Türkenstraße 92, 80799 München, Germany. Send privacy questions to dna@huuman.life. Full company details are in the imprint.
What we use your data for
Only for the weekly huuman newsletter: three research findings, each with one step for your week, plus a line on the huuman app.
Legal basis
- We send you the newsletter with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- We keep proof of your consent because we must be able to show it (Art. 6(1)(c) with Art. 7(1) GDPR).
What we store
- Your email address, your language and the page where you signed up.
- As proof of your consent: the time, IP address and browser identifier (user agent), once when you sign up and once when you confirm, plus the wording you agreed to.
What we do not do
We do not track whether you open a mail, and we do not track which links you click. We only count how often a link in an issue was clicked in total, without knowing who clicked.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare (hosting and database): the data is stored in the EU, safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Resend (sending the mails): under a data processing agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your address, until you unsubscribe.
- Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days.
- After you unsubscribe, we erase your address after 30 days. Only a one-way hash of it stays, so your unsubscribe keeps working.
- We keep the records of your consent (times, IP address, browser identifier) for 3 years after you unsubscribe, to defend legal claims (Art. 17(3)(e) GDPR). Then we delete them.
Your rights
- You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every mail. The withdrawal applies from then on.
- You have the right to access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to dna@huuman.life.
- You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).
